We often get asked how a business can incorporate their Google Business Photos virtual tours into their social media pages like Facebook, so we’ve produced this handy how-to guide to take you through the process step by step.
For this example we’ll be using the WooBox facbeook application, this only the embedding of static iFrame HTML code within a it’s own tab on Facebook, this unfortunately only works on Facebook Pages rather than user accounts.
Step 1 – To add the WooBox application, simply log into the facebook account of where you have administrator rights to the page you wish to add the virtual tour tab to and use the search bar to search for “WooBox, you’ll be prompted with the following screen, install the application by pressing the green button.
Step 2 – Use either Search or Maps to open your Google Business Photos virtual tour and navigate to the viewpoint in which you’d like visitors to land at when they open your application on Facebook, on the left hand side of the screen you’ll see a chain icon that will allow you to either copy the direct URL or the iFrame code, copy the latter.
Step 3 – Paste your Google Business Photos iFrame code into the HTML box on the WooBox settings page, in order to make the virtual tour fill the page you can alter the values of the width and height to the following: width – 810, height – 610.
Step 4 – Go back to your page you’ll now see the new tab added, you can arrange the order of these to your own liking.
Step 5 – Click on to your new tab and you’ll now be able to walk around the premises via your very own Google Business Photos virtual tour embedded within your Facebook page.
